Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th of November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, (presently Onesti(born November 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now One Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast in history to get a flawless score of 10 points in the Olympic event. Bela Karolyi was later Romanian Gymnastics Coach, came across Comaneci as she was only seven years old. She first competed at the championships for juniors from Romania in 1969 she placed 13th. In 1970, she the Romanian gymnast won. Her first competition in the international arena was in 1972 a pre-Olympic junior meet for the communist-bloc countries she took home three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1974 she became an the all-around junior champion. The athlete won four golds and one silver medals at her senior debut international competition that took place in 1975. This was her first time she participated as an older senior. The year was 1976 when she won the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games and was the first female ever to remove the parallel bars using a double backward salto. The journey of Carol Wayne to the world of entertainment began as a teenager. Along with her sister Nina Wayne, she joined traveling entertainment shows called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol began her career in entertainment when she was in her teenage years. She began her professional career by performing figure skating along with Nina Wayne, her younger sister in one of the touring entertainment show Ice Capades. They featured ice skating shows with theatrical shows.
