In her early Broadway roles, she played in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. in You Can't Take It With You She was the recipient of the Tony Award as Best Featured actress in an Play. Tony Award-winning actor Annaleigh Ashford spent her career working alongside renowned actors and directors across theatre and on television. she continues that award-winning work with several upcoming projects. Ashford can be seen next in the role of Kumail Nanjiani, on Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive Welcome to Chippendales. It will premiere on 22nd November. Ashford is currently in production on Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust starring opposite Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. It will also be available on Hulu Original on Disney DTC. Ashford will return to Broadway in March 2023, in which he'll be starring alongside Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production is at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The team behind Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail will be at the helm of the show. Ashford's latest role was as Paula Jones on Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment. It is based upon the National scandal that featured Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky, and Linda Tripp. Ashford was the main character in two seasons of CBS comedy B Positive. Created by Marco Pennette and Chuck Lorre the show also starred famous actor Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo and Ben Vereen.No no stranger to Broadway Ashford has won Tony Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her role as Essie In You Can't Take It with You. Sunday in the Park with George Wicked legally blonde and the original role of Lauren in Kinky Boots were among her other Broadway credits. Ashford, who was brought up in Denver and now lives in Los Angeles and New York.
