Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
I spent months working 12 hours sanding floors, and tearing down wallpaper with the baby on my back, and others crawling into the playpen. Ha! It was beginning to make sense, but was still far from being finished. For furnishing the space would be a huge effort in terms of time and money. I would also have go to my favorite stores. To stay on budget I started going to estate sales along with my three sons to find gems hidden in the dirt. It was a weekly tradition that we would go through estate sales and garage sales on Fridays and Saturdays buying a mixture of old and new pieces. I then spent working on my projects out in the driveway. The furniture was like this... and that's the place I discovered my love for restoration. When our home was furnished I couldn't stop! I had a space on the local market, and sold pieces there. Then I bought more that I had no idea how to use them and had outgrown the space. Open houses were held at my house where 1 000 visitors would pass through during a weekend. the visitors were able to purchase items on the first level. My business Growing Days began here. As my business flourished, so did our little family. In some ways, I had found the perfect balance between being a mum as well as starting my own business. Growing Days was the obvious decision. In 2013, my lovely daughter Nora came along our 4th kiddo. My company was doing well but I was in need of a break. I took a break from creating furniture for vintage homes, and slowed down my pace and stayed at home to help my children. That was exactly what i wanted. After a few months when the phones began to be ringing. They wanted my assistance in decorating as well as renovations. Many of the people calling me were people who had came to my house at one of the furniture open houses. I began taking on clients at a time going at my own pace however it wasn't time before I was running multiple accounts and was running the complete business of home remodeling. It is likely that I'd have laughed had I had been told that the business was going to be part of a forthcoming TV show that airs on the DIY Network. It's hilarious to look back to it.
