Jenna Fischer is best known for her role as Pam Beesly on the acclaimed television show The Office, for which she won the Emmy nomination for the Best Supporting Actress as well as two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance from An Ensemble Comedy.
Anne, her mother, played in plays at church while she was a kid that instilled a love of theater and performance in Jenna. Jenna's mom Anne often performed in church plays as a child, and this instilled an enthusiasm for theatre.
Theater actress with training, Fischer returned to her roots after wrapping The Office. Off-Broadway's production of Reasons for Being Happy was written and directed by Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. She went on to star as the first woman to appear in Steve Martin's new show Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy with Greg Germann as well as Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking run in The Old Globe Theatre.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer launched Office Ladies, a podcast on Earwolf in the month of October. The podcast has been a huge success, reaching in the Top Ten worldwide every week as well as receiving over 200 million downloads in the first two years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in the month of January in 2021.
She has written two books: The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide that outlines her path to Hollywood as a working actor, and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office From Two Great Friends who were There, a memoir of the best relationship they shared and their time in The Office.
